Some individuals may notice temporary reddish coloring in urine or stool after eating beets, a harmless effect sometimes called beeturia. Beets also naturally contain oxalates, so people who have been advised to monitor oxalate intake may choose to discuss portions with a healthcare professional. Overall, when included as part of a balanced lifestyle and varied nutrition plan, beets remain a versatile food that supports healthy eating habits and long-term wellness goals.
